The non-profit organization under the name “World of Athens" located in Athens on Sisini & Alkmanos 7, PC 115 28 (hereinafter "THE WORLD OF ATHENS), (which will henceforth be referred to in this" The Organizing Authority ") is holding a competition (the Competition)

The purpose of these analytical procedures (hereinafter the "Detailed Terms") is to define the terms and conditions for the participation of stakeholders in the tendering process and the emergence of winners in this.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Detailed terms & conditions for participation

Eligibility.

The competition is worldwide and open to all. Entering the competition is just the electronic submission of this form of participation by management www.athensbenchmark.com. Anyone who is 18 years of age or older, regardless of status, may enter. Those who are under 18 years of age (minors under 14 years of age are ineligible) can take part in the contest only by written consent of the parent / guardian. The written consent shall be deemed to have given and have accepted the terms of this. Note that if the winner is a minor (but in no case less than 14 years of age), for receiving the gift should be accompanied by a person who has parental responsibility. Furthermore, those with parental responsibility must protect minors from accessing such content as is intended for adults and exclusively responsible otherwise. Participants may be individuals or groups and can participate in one to two entries. Those NOT entitled to participate are only those who are or have been members of the administration of the Organizing Authority, officers or employees, members or alternate members of the committee and to the 2nd degree relatives of those persons. The involvement of stakeholders in the Competition implies full and unconditional acceptance, of all the conditions of participation as defined.

The art contest is conducted and visual content in the Athens Bench Mark. In this section, each artist has the right to participate in projects that will depict a visual perception of the proposal on the bench in the future. Restrictions do not apply.

Acceptance of the tender conditions.

The charge acceptance of all conditions of the competition as a condition, each participant will pass irrevocably, exclusively and without any consideration the copyrights to Host Authority for the promotion of the project, reproduction by any means (television, radio, internet, print, digital media), and commercial exploitation through these promotional purposes. For the sake of clarity, it is stated that in any case, under Law 2121/93 on copyright, the moral right of authorship of the project is always the Creator.

In the final stage of selecting 3 winning projects, the organizing principle holds more than the rights of reproduction-display-advertising, all the exclusive intellectual and industrial rights as they apply to the existing provisions on intellectual property for the full commercial use plans and future rights that may arise from the legal exploitation of the project as a brand or product. It also reserves the right at its sole discretion to use or not the said material to be deposited by each bidder, along with any other mark, distinctive sign, text or other items.

The creator of the project is to exercise the moral right of the intellectual work in a manner which will prevent any use by that agency in accordance with the provisions of the law of intellectual property and the provisions prohibiting unfair competition and any other statutory provision. During the period of notice is prohibited to use the same interests in parallel or similar events.

The privacy of participants will be required in accordance with the provisions of Greek law (Law 2472 / 1997, Presidential Decree 207 / 1998. Presidential Decree 79 / 2000 and 8 of Law 2819 / 2000) and European law (Directives 95/46/EC and 97/66/EC), the early participation in the Contest are as follows: name, date of birth, phone numbers or e-mail address (e-mail) . Valid entries will be considered if completed truthfully, accurately and completely on these areas and the participant will be asked to make a statement confirming the signing of the form. In addition, we ask the participant express provision or not to consent to the future (outside competition) communication from the organizers for information or advertising purposes, and any refusal will not constitute grounds for nullity of participation. The Organizers reserve the right to a telephone conversation with the participants for verification of individual components.

Project Originality

Each entry must consist of original and unpublished projects. Projects that have also taken part in other competitions, are subject to copyright of third parties including trademarks or advertising, or contain offensive material will be rejected. The Organizing Authority bears no responsibility if the contestants submit material in breach of intellectual property rights of third persons or companies

Modification of Conditions

The Organizing Authority shall have the right to modify the terms of the competition without prior notice. Any changes will be notified via www.athensbenchmark.com. Material to be deposited to compete will NOT be reimbursed for non-award. Also, the Organizing Authority reserves the right to postpone the tender process at any stage thereof and without stating the reasons.

Submission Entries

Each person to take part in the competition should simply complete the entry form electronically via the address www.athensbenchmark.com and send an electronic file format and content as specified and detailed technical specifications of the tender. Upon receipt of data to be inspected by the administrator of the site contents in the electronic files submitted and they meet the requirements of the entries will be posted on the competition website to view the evaluation stage together.

Entries should be sent by the official opening of the tender on February 23, 2010 until April 26, 2010 at 24:00. After the expiration date any contribution will not be accepted. In case changes have been made by the participant to the submission material via the web, the change or cancellation will not be possible.

Selection procedure Athens Future Bench.

After the expiry of the holding visual proposals will be posted in www.athensbenchmark.com for phase evaluation from the public. The public will vote on the prevailing 50 projects and 1 from the 50 with the highest score will receive the "Audience Award" In the next phase after the end of the voting public the jury will select and award the prevailing 3 of the 50 shortlisted to the public. The emergence of the three best projects will be a meeting of the Commission which will take place with the procedure behind closed doors. The announcement of the results will be held on April 15 and will follow the short presentation of 50 works at art exhibitions, and will then follow a special event for the award of 3 projects at a time and place to be announced by the organizing authority through the website www.athensbenchmark . com.

Selection Criteria Athens Future Bench

The criteria by which to make the final choice of the project are:

  • Beauty on the central idea of organizing the competition.
  • Personal  artistic expression.
  • Bringing the project to the concept of Future Bench.
  • Originality.
  • Overall project performance.

Awards

  • 1st Place Prize Money 3,000 euros
  • 2nd Place Prize Money  2,000 euros
  • 3rd Place Prize Money 1,000 euros

These prizes will be awarded upon completion of the work described in this awards ceremony, at a time and place designated by the Organizing Authority and will be announced through the website www.athensbenchmark.com
